Full-arch implant center · Lakeland
Two oral and maxillofacial surgeons and a prosthodontist work from one scan and one written plan, for adults whose teeth are failing and for people whose denture won't stay put. You see every step, and how it is billed, before surgery.

The path
Most full-arch cases take six to ten visits over several months. Yours depends on your mouth, and your written plan sets it down before any surgery.
We talk about what is failing and what you want, take a 3D scan and photographs, and look at the scan with you. Nobody decides anything that day.
Dr. Rubio, Dr. Chowdhury and Dr. Dockery review the scan together. You get the plan in writing: which teeth come out, how many implants, what the teeth are made of, and the fee for each step.
A surgeon removes the teeth that can't stay and places the implants. How you are numbed, and whether you have sedation, is agreed with you beforehand.
Some people leave with a temporary set of teeth to wear while the implants and bone heal, and some wait without one. The surgeon tells you which applies to you before the day.
When the implants have healed, Dr. Dockery checks the fit and the bite and fits the final set, a fixed bridge or a removable denture, as you chose.
Cleanings, bite checks and home-care teaching for as long as you are our patient. Implants need care, as natural teeth do.
The fee for each step is in your written plan before it starts.
We bill the dental plans we are in network with and file claims for others. Dental plans often pay only a small share of implant care, and some medical plans pay for parts of the surgery. The plan decides what it covers. We tell you what we expect before you decide, and the plan's answer always comes first.

Without insurance, you pay for each step as your written plan lists it, and you hear the fee for a step before we start it. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written good faith estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. It lists each step we expect and the fee for each.

The teeth themselves
Dr. Dockery designs them with the technician, then tries them in before they are fitted.
They are made from your scan and your bite records, tried in and adjusted. Dr. Dockery checks how they fit, how you bite and how you speak and chew, and changes them until they are right, or tells you what can't be changed.

Questions
Some people leave with a temporary set and some don't. It depends on the implants, the bone and your bite. The surgeon tells you before the day, in your plan. We don't promise a set on the day.
The scan shows how much bone there is. If it is short, the surgeon may suggest bone support first, a different plan or a different kind of teeth. You hear the options before you decide.
Surgery is done with numbing, and with sedation if you and the surgeon agree on it. Soreness and swelling are common for several days afterward. You get written instructions and a number to call.
We bill some dental plans and file claims for others, and we check your dental and medical benefits before you decide. How it is billed has the whole answer.
Yes. Smoking, diabetes and some medicines affect healing. The surgeon asks about them in person and on the patient portal, never in a message or a contact form.
The consultation
The consultation is a conversation and a 3D scan. You hear its fee when you book. Pick a time on our booking page, or call and Flor will find one.
