Tooth removal and bone support
For teeth that are too loose, broken or infected to keep, and for jaws where bone is too thin for an implant.
The surgeon removes the teeth, and where bone is short, builds it up with a graft so an implant has something to hold. Some of this is done at the same visit as the implants.

- 01
Step 1: Look at the scan
The surgeon shows you which teeth can stay and which can't.
- 02
Step 2: Removal
Teeth are removed under numbing, with sedation if agreed.
- 03
Step 3: Bone support, if needed
Graft material is placed where bone is short, and the area heals before an implant is placed.
- 04
Step 4: Check
We check the site and tell you when the next stage can start.
Comfort, alternatives, risks and fees
What to expect, said plainly.
Comfort
Numbing is used for every removal, and you can ask for a break at any time.
Comfort and sedationAlternatives and waiting
A tooth can sometimes be saved by your own dentist or an endodontist, and we say when we think so. Leaving a failing tooth can mean infection and more bone loss.
Risks and after-care
Bleeding, swelling and soreness are expected for a few days, and the graft area needs care. Infection and a graft that doesn't hold are risks, which the surgeon explains. Written instructions and a phone number come with you.
How it is billed
You get the fee for each step in writing before it starts, and a written estimate if you pay without insurance. No price is quoted over the phone or by message.

Questions about this
Where does the bone come from?
It may be donor material, material from you or a mix. The surgeon explains the choice and the reasons.
How long does it take to heal?
It depends on the site and on you, and the surgeon gives a range for yours.
Can you remove one tooth?
Yes, though most of our patients need several. For one tooth, your own dentist may do it.
