How fees work

Full-arch care is paid for in steps, and each step's fee is in your written plan before it starts.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill the dental plans we are in network with and file claims for others. Dental plans often pay only a small share of implant care, and some medical plans pay for parts of the surgery. The plan decides what it covers. We tell you what we expect before you decide, and the plan's answer always comes first.

    • Dental PPO plans, in network or out of network

    • Medicare and Medicare Advantage: ask us before you plan

    • We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP

  • If you pay yourself

Without insurance, you pay for each step as your written plan lists it, and you hear the fee for a step before we start it. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

    • Each step and its fee, in writing

    • Paid as each step is done

    • Third-party financing, set by the lender

    How fees work
  • Receipts for reimbursement

After every visit you get an itemized statement with the procedure codes, which you can send to a plan that reimburses you or to a health savings account.

    • Itemized, every visit

    • Procedure codes included

  • An estimate in advance

You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written good faith estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask. It lists each step we expect and the fee for each.

    • Written, before surgery

    • Each step and its fee

    • Take it home before you decide

  • Checking your benefits

Flor Loya, our treatment coordinator, checks your dental and medical benefits before your plan visit and tells you what the plans say. Bring your cards to the consultation. She speaks Spanish and English.

    • Dental and medical benefits

    • Checked before you decide

  • What the first visit includes

The consultation is a conversation and a 3D scan, about an hour and a half. You hear the fee for the consultation when you book. Treatment decisions come later, at the plan visit, with the plan in writing.

    • A talk, then a scan

    • No decisions that day

    • Health history on the portal, not by message

The practice replaces these answers with its own.

What the written plan lists

You take it home. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

  • The steps

Scan, removal, surgery, the temporary set, the final teeth and each check-up.

  • The fee for each step

In dollars, step by step, so you can see what is paid when.

  • What your plans are expected to pay

Our coordinator's estimate from your benefits, and what is left for you.

  • What may change

If your scan or healing changes the plan, you hear it and get a new estimate before anything else is done.

Ask about a fee before you come

Flor can explain how your benefits might apply. No fee is quoted by message.
